News from the Development Office
To supplement the funds raised through NSSA’s special events, the Development Office works to secure funding from foundations, corporations, businesses, and government offices on an on-going basis.
The Development Office is proud to announce the receipt of the following grants and donations:
- Bike to the Beach donated $2,740 from the proceeds of their 2022 event
- Nassau County AHRC made a $5,000 grant to NSSA for general operating support
- The Doe Club of New Hyde Park made a donation of $1,000
- Lynbrook Varsity and Jr. Varsity teams donated $1,200 from a soccer match fundraiser
- Fifth Avenue of LI made a $1,781.35 donation from the proceeds of their 2021 Champions for Charity even
- Anthony Paul Salon donated $265.00 from proceeds of their Autism Awareness Month fundraiser
- East Williston UFSD made a $200.00 donation from their Extra Classroom Activity Fund’s Autism Awareness Month fundraiser
- Lithology Brewing LLC donated $160.00 from proceeds of their Autism Awareness Month fundraiser
- Anthony’s Pizza Holdings Company donated $736.15 from the proceeds of their 2022 pizza giveback fundraiser
- Pampered Chef made a donation of $176.19 from an Autism Awareness Month fundraiser hosted by Concetta Guarisco
- Commack UFSD donated $826.00 from money raised by the Student Council of Mandrachia/Sawmill Intermediate School during Autism Awareness Month
- Winters Center for Autism Inc. donated $1,198.38 from its snack cart proceeds
- Adventureland donated $1,200.00 from proceeds of the April 2022 Special Night for Our Special Kids event
- Apex Society donated $2,000.00 to NSSA’s Adult Services Program
- Autism Speaks donated $5,000.00 through a Local Impact Grant for NSSA’s Adult Services Program
- T Rowe Price Program for Charitable Giving made a $1,000.00 donation
